Joining The EnAction Challenge is easy! Commit to your goal, support your favorite charity, and stay motivated with rewards along the way. Here’s how:

01. Sign Up & Set Your Challenge

Register by January 31, 2025 by filling out the form below. Share your personal challenge, select your charity, and choose a gift you’d love to receive if you succeed (worth $50–$100).

02. Stay Committed for 6 Months

From January to June 2025, complete your challenge each month. For every successful month, $20 will be donated to your chosen charity by Patrick Masson Notary Inc.

Celebrate Your Success

Achieve your goal by June 30, 2025, and you’ll receive your chosen gift, and an invitation to our award night to celebrate your impact!

The Story Behind the Challenge

Turning Goals into Impact

Life brings its share of challenges and obstacles for everyone. In my case, I juggle being a businessman, a dad, and a caregiver for my family. Although I’ve been involved in competitive sports throughout my life, life’s twists and turns led me to put aside what I truly loved. For years, I’ve wanted to return, but I always found countless excuses and fell into the trap of procrastination.

Recently, I was inspired by an event organized by 104.7 FM, which supports the community year-round. Conversations with the event’s director sparked an idea: why not create a project that could inspire others to stop procrastinating while also helping people and organizations in need in the Outaouais region?

After speaking with Robert Ladouceur from Thérien Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu, he posed a simple yet powerful question: When is the right time to start? The answer? There’s never a perfect time—just start.

And so, the EnAction Challenge was born—a movement to motivate people to pursue their personal goals while giving back to the organizations that strengthen our communities throughout the year.

INFORMATION AND RULES

Registrations must be completed between January 1 and January 31, 2025.

Participation in the challenge and registration are free (except for any materials the participant chooses, such as clothing, instruments, books, etc. No materials will be provided).

Participants who register after January 31, 2025, can still join the challenge and attend the final gala. However, they will not be eligible for the success prize.

The challenge begins in January 2025 and ends on June 30, 2025.

For every month a participant successfully reaches their personal goal, a donation will be made (at the end) to their chosen organization.

During registration, each participant must select an organization in the Outaouais region to receive the donation.

Participants who fully complete their challenge will be invited to a gala where they will receive a prize, along with a check presented to their chosen organization.

The organization must be legally registered. Organizations that keep a portion of donations for salaries, administrative fees, etc., will be excluded. The donated amount must go entirely to the intended beneficiaries (people or animals).

The chosen challenges must be measurable and, most importantly, realistic.

This initiative is designed to help people support organizations in the Outaouais region while encouraging them to take action and stop procrastinating.

Participants who wish to may receive a visit from Gatineau.TV to showcase their progress during the challenge.

Masculine terms include the feminine, and singular terms include the plural. No judgment or discrimination will be tolerated. The goal is to support one another and give back to those in need.

The challenge must be measurable. Here are examples:

  • Lose X number of pounds in 6 months
  • Exercise 3 times a week for 45 minutes
  • Be able to run for 40 minutes without stopping
  • Read one book per month
  • Learn a musical instrument and be able to play a verse in 6 months
  • Change our diet (provide the food plan followed each month) and see the beneficial effects (e.g. reduce our high blood pressure etc.)
  • Be able to do X number of push ups each month.
  • Do a triathlon
  • Try group classes
  • Try kickboxing classes (Thérien Kickboxing)
  • Etc.
